Montessori Guide (Teacher): Lower Primary 6-9

Perth Montessori invites applications for the position of Lower Primary Guide (teacher) in a small, multi-age classroom catering for children aged 6 to 9 years. This is a short-term contract from 12 August 2024 (Term 3, Week 5) to 20 July 2025 for parental leave cover.

Prerequisites:

  • A teaching qualification recognised for registration by the TRBWA (B.Ed., Dip. Ed., Master of Teaching).
  • Montessori certification for ages 6-12 from a recognised Montessori training centre,
  • Demonstrated experience as a Montessori guide for children aged 6-9 or 9-12 years (highly desirable) and a genuine passion for the Montessori approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create a child-centred, nurturing environment founded on mutual respect.
  • A collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and willingness to work with others effectively to support the school's mission, values and strategic objectives.

Montessori Guide (Teacher): Children's House 3-6

Perth Montessori invites applications for the position of Children's House Guide (teacher) in a multi-age classroom catering for children aged 3 to 6 years. This is a newly created, full-time, permanent position commencing Term 3, 2024. The successful candidate will be a registered early years Montessori teacher excited to team-teach in 2024, before transitioning to a lead guide of a newly established class in 2025.

Prerequisites:

Montessori 0-3 Playgroup Guide and Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Montessori Guide to lead our infant playgroup program. This role involves coordinating the program, managing new enrolments, offering tours, conducting orientation sessions, handling marketing and administrative tasks, and supporting parents to guide their children according to Montessori practices in a prepared environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the infant playgroup program, ensuring smooth operation of sessions.
  • Manage new enrolments and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct tours and orientation sessions for prospective families.
  • Perform marketing and administrative tasks to promote the program.
  • Support parents and carers in guiding their children using Montessori principles.
  • Create and maintain a prepared environment that aligns with Montessori standards.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for both children and their caregivers.

Qualifications:

  • Montessori training and experience working with infants aged 0 to 3 years.
  • Proven experience supporting parents and carers in a similar setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and the Montessori philosophy.
